The Filter Minder® filter monitoring device makes it easy for you to tell when it's time to change filters.
The myth is that an automotive air filter should be changed about every 6,000 miles, or when it "looks dirty."
The fact is that a certain amount of dirt in an air filter actually increases its filtering efficiency by reducing the size of the holes in the filter media which helps stop smaller dirt particles.
This means that instead of a maximum life of 6,000 miles, the typical air filter may actually last anywhere from 60,000 to 100,000 miles!
Air filter restriction is not time or miles dependent.
Mileage of as much as 300,000 to as little as 5,000 miles have been reported when restriction is reached.
It is important to know the highest full load restriction that occurred during the vehicle operation in order to service BEFORE the redline.
After an element has reached its redline value, it only takes a little more contaminant before high fuel consumption and poor engine operation occurs. Don't Dust Your Engine!
The Filter Minder® can be found on a wide variety of applications throughout the world, including: Automotive - Truck - Construction - Agriculture - Compressors - Blowers - Hydraulics - Lawn and Garden - Irrigation Industries - Oil Fields - Marine.... or any industry that uses a filter.
We are pleased to introduce a new addition to its portfolio of filter monitoring products.... the innovative, versatile and convenient Air Line Filter and Indicator. Click through the showcase to learn more and view the ALFI Animation.
In routine use, air flows through the Air Line Filter, trapping particles.
The Air Line Filter and Indicator (ALFI) protects against harmful debris and contaminants in high pressure air lines in a wide variety of industrial, transportation and on-site applications requiring compressed air or gas.
Extreme clogging will extend the red indicator (as device progresses towards full bypass mode) until it is fully extended, locked, and requires replacement. Build-up of debris will open the bypass to keep air flowing.
When restriction becomes excessive, a bright red indicator deploys from the device, indicating it is time to change the filter.
The filter cartridge is replaceable with a 1-1/4” wrench/socket and is ready again to protect your operating assets in just seconds.

When it comes to filter maintenance, when to change the filter can be a guessing game without the proper tool to indicate when the filter's life has actually been reached.
We offer an expansive line of Filter Minder® filter monitoring devices and mounting options which allow filter elements to be serviced when they have reached the end of their service life and maximum efficiency in dirt-holding capacity, and not prematurely serviced and disposed of on a time, mileage or "looks dirty" basis.
Our Filter Minder® filter monitoring devices include our best selling graduated service indicator, economical single position service indicators, electrical single and graduated switch indicators, and electronic sensors.
In addition to air filter monitoring devices, we offer fuel filter monitors, HVAC filter monitors, and low pressure gauges to monitor crankcase and other pressure applications.
